Why stupid and ignorant? Because they are too infatuated with western political ideologies. All they see is one dominant party in Singapore and they think it's bad. They fail to see how we are different from those other countries.
I have just read the RP's manifesto. Many of their ideas are stupid. They may seem good because they appear to tackle some immediate problems, but in the long run these will not better Singapore (notice the word 'tackle' and not 'solve'). As expected, they are taking these ideas from western nations. Universal health care? Privatisation of Temasek and GIC? Minimum wage?
Stupidity.
Many of the opposition parties are mainly relying on the "vote me just 'cuz I'm opposition" tactic, and Singaporeans are buying it. Singaporeans, stop looking at the petty problems like lift upgrading and traffic congestion. For too long you have just sat back while letting a fine team of men-in-white make your decisions for you, and in the process your brain has degenerated into the pathetic state it is in now.
When faced with a choice, choose wisely.
Apathy and power are a dangerous combination. Especially when the power allows you to decide the future of your country.
