round and round

they should really connect dhoby ghaut to harbourfront.

but then there would be the problem of people getting on at one station and just being silly: falling asleep and getting caught in an endless loop around singapore.

which is actually quite funny on some level.

on a completely unrelated note (i seem to use this phrase a lot eh), my relationship with God seems sinusoidal. there are periods of highness (so to speak) and periods of lowness. no matter where i wander off to, i always find myself discovering God once again.

it's kind of like learning a new formula in math. it seems completely arbitrary and meaningless to you at first, but as you apply it to different situations, you gradually realise the truth in it, to the extent that a formal proof is not required because your experience is enough to validate its authenticity (related-but-not-entirely-accurate-in-this-context: axiom).

special mention to a brother for reminding me of Romans 8:28,
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him"
there's little i can (or want to) do here but to trust and obey. sometimes even though you know that God is real and what the Bible says is true, it's just hard to reconcile what you tell yourself you believe in and what your earthly mind (with limitations in reason and logic) tells you.

so maybe it's better to just always remind yourself of the truth no matter what may happen instead of going through the pain of rejection and reconciliation over and over again.

no point going in circles
