more coy camp memories

There is no point to this post, besides allowing me to remember the times I had during company camp 2011.

1. Kaboom 2: the set-up as i lay on the ground next to buckets of water, just looking at the morning sky and thinking. the smell of grass in the morning, the occasional footsteps of human and dog doing their morning exercise. tranquillity. one of the nicer places in singapore. i fell asleep waiting for the van to return.

2. after Kaboom 2: walking down old holland road with yong jian. talking random crap about camps and life and school and such. for some reason i really enjoyed the conversation. i don't know why either. it just felt good. wind in my hair, low drone of a r/c plane, intermittent car driving by, sun in my eye.

3. Exciting: sitting at coffee bean with ben yu, drinking tea. it just felt so nice sitting there with him. we didn't talk much, but for some reason i just enjoyed his company. i just sat there thinking about all we've gone through as friends. all the ups and downs and everything in between. i really treasure times like these and friends like him.

4. day 2 night: running around the entire school looking for someone. ben yu and i walked up to all the secluded corners of the IB block. the rooftop, the various stairwells and the dark scary places. quite an experience, i must say.

5. day 2 night: sitting on the green level, legs dangling over the railing thing. watching the blinking of faraway lights. talking to brian about the past, the present, and the future. about life and love. about friends and family. about relationships and the like. about what i ought and ought not to do, about the potential problems that IB may bring.

6. day 2 night: sitting in classroom 505. my class this year: 4.10. looking at the classroom, at the board where our assignments used to be listed. looking at the attendance board, at the "/21" that was there since the beginning of the year. remembering everything that had taken place in that classroom. the happiness, the sadness, the fun, the laughter, the joy and everything we did as a class. i erased the names and numbers on the attendance board as a symbolic act of how our class is no more. this classroom was also used as the logs room for TA this year. so many memories. gone.

that was quite an experience. quite an experience indeed. i got to know many people better. and i am once again reminded of my love for my friends. thank you all for being a part of my life.

over and out.
